Unforgettable Chicken Delight
Did you ever imagine creating a mouthwatering dish with just five simple ingredients? Believe it or not, it’s possible. The foundation of this culinary masterpiece is minute rice, adding a delightful twist to its long baking time—rest assured, it won’t lose its texture. Combine the rice with two cans of soup and an additional can of water; any condensed soup works, but the tandem of chicken and celery is my personal favorite. Pour this savory mixture into a generously buttered baking dish.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups minute rice
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 can cream of celery soup
- 1 can water
- 5 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (approximately 1 1/2 lbs)
- 1 envelope onion soup mix
- Butter for greasing the dish
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and generously grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter. Set it aside.
- In a medium bowl, blend the chicken soup, celery soup, one can of water, and minute rice.
- Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking pan.
- Arrange the chicken breasts atop the rice mixture and evenly sprinkle the onion soup mix.
- Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake until the chicken is thoroughly cooked, and the liquid has absorbed into the rice, approximately 90 minutes.
