Achieve fall-off-the-bone tenderness as the ribs are expertly finished in the oven, creating the ultimate
barbecue glaze with caramelized edges. The secret lies in our four-ingredient marinade, featuring an
irresistible kick of garlic that elevates the flavor to new heights.
While the oven is typically the go-to for oven-baked ribs, the Slow Cooker has claimed its place as my favorite
kitchen companion amid our chaotic life. Move aside, oven…
The beauty of Slow Cooker Barbecue Ribs lies in their versatility – perfect for any time, any season. Slow
cooking works its magic, breaking down connective tissues, resulting in ribs that are tender and effortlessly
fall apart. A luscious barbecue sauce glaze, infused with garlic and optional Cayenne, is brushed on and
broiled for an additional 2 minutes, creating ribs with a perfect blend of bubbling, charred, and crispy
perfection.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups barbecue sauce
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- 3 freshly minced garlic cloves
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 4 to 5 pounds baby back ribs
Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the Marinade
In a zip-top bag, combine barbecue sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and optional cayenne
pepper. Seal the bag and knead it to ensure thorough mixing.
Step 2: Coat the Ribs
Place the ribs in the bag, seal it, and shake to coat the ribs completely. Grease the inner part of the
crockpot.
Step 3: Transfer to Crockpot
Open the bag and place the ribs in the crockpot. Pour half of the sauce from the bag over the ribs, ensuring
they are well-covered.
Step 4: Cooking Process
Cook on high heat for 4 to 5 hours for fall-off-the-bone tenderness, or on low heat for 9 hours. For lean meat
that stays on the bone, opt for 7 hours until the meat easily detaches.
Step 5: Serve with Extra Sauce
Have additional sauce available on the table, allowing everyone to customize their experience with more sauce
if desired.
Step 6: Enjoy!
Savor the delectable flavors of these succulent slow cooker barbecue ribs – a perfect balance of tenderness,
flavor, and convenience.
