Delicious Steak Fajitas
Ingredients:
- 3 bell peppers, julienned
- 2 white onions, julienned
- Seasoning for the steak:
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1/2 tablespoon onion powder
- 1/2 tablespoon cumin
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 1/2 tablespoons salt
- 1 tablespoon pepper
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
- Heat a large skillet over high heat. Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil and let it heat for a minute.
- Add the sliced bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms to the skillet. Sauté until the vegetables are tender-crisp, about 7-10 minutes.
- During the last two minutes of cooking, add half of the seasoning mix and minced garlic. Cook for an additional 1 to 2 minutes.
- Remove the vegetables from the skillet and transfer them to a serving dish, but keep the skillet hot.
- Return the skillet to high heat. Add the thinly sliced flank steak and sprinkle the remainder of the seasoning mixture and Worcestershire sauce. Cook the steak, tossing constantly, until browned, about 2 to 3 minutes for medium-rare. Flank steak is best enjoyed medium-rare. For well-done, cook an additional 3 to 4 minutes.
- Once the meat is cooked, add the vegetables back into the skillet. Drizzle lime juice over the mixture and toss together.
- Serve on warm tortillas. Enjoy plain or topped with sour cream, cilantro, guacamole, or salsa.
Enjoy your flavorful Steak Fajitas!
