Simple and Elegant Two-Layer Dessert
Ingredients
White Layer:
- 1 can condensed milk
- 1 can heavy cream
- 1 envelope unflavored powdered gelatin
- 1 cup water
Colored Layer:
- 1 packet strawberry gelatin (or flavor of your choice)
- 1 cup hot water
- 1 cup cold water
Directions
White Layer:
- Dissolve the envelope of unflavored powdered gelatin in 1 cup of hot water, following the package instructions.
- In a blender, combine the heavy cream, condensed milk, and the dissolved gelatin. Blend until the mixture is smooth.
- Pour the mixture into a baking dish or individual serving bowls. Refrigerate for about 2 hours, or until the layer is firm.
Colored Layer:
- Dissolve the packet of strawberry gelatin in 1 cup of hot water, stirring until completely dissolved.
- Add 1 cup of cold water and mix well. Allow the gelatin mixture to cool slightly.
- Gently pour the cooled gelatin mixture over the firm white layer.
- Refrigerate for another 2 hours, or until the colored layer is completely set.
