Savory Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Savory Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Ingredients:

  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 white onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes
  • 2 pounds of sirloin steak, cut into strips
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • ⅔ cup hot water
  • 1 cube beef bouillon
  • 3 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Heat Olive oil in a skillet. Sauté the steak until browned on each side.
  2. Dissolve bouillon in hot water and pour into the crockpot. Whisk in cornstarch.
  3. Add Worcestershire sauce, Soy Sauce, and brown sugar to the crockpot. Include diced tomatoes, salt, and
    pepper. Stir in beef and onions.
  4. Cook on low for 6 to 7 hours or on high for 3 hours.
  5. Add sliced peppers and cook for an additional hour. Garnish with thinly sliced green onions.
  6. Serve with a side of rice and a dinner salad.
