Savory Slow-Cooked Pepper Steak

Ingredients:

  • 1 red bell pepper, finely sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, finely sliced
  • 1 white onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes
  • 2 pounds of sirloin steak, cut into strips
  • 2 teaspoons of minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of high-quality Olive Oil
  • ⅔ cup of hot water
  • 1 cube of beef bouillon
  • 3 tablespoons of Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of Cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of Worcestershire Sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Heat the Olive oil in a skillet. Saute the sirloin steak until it achieves a delightful brown color on each side.
  2. Dissolve the beef bouillon cube in hot water and pour it into the crockpot. Whisk in the cornstarch until well combined with the bouillon and water mixture.
  3. Incorporate Worcestershire Sauce, Soy Sauce, and brown sugar into the crockpot. Add the diced tomatoes, salt, and pepper for a burst of flavor.
  4. Stir in the sautéed beef and sliced onions. Let it simmer on low for 6 to 7 hours or on high for 3 hours, allowing the flavors to meld perfectly.
  5. An hour before serving, introduce the sliced peppers to the mix. Garnish the final creation with thinly sliced green onions.
  6. Serve this mouthwatering pepper steak over a bed of rice accompanied by a refreshing dinner salad. Revel in the culinary experience!
