Savory Slow-Cooked Pepper Steak
Ingredients:
- 1 red bell pepper, finely sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, finely sliced
- 1 white onion, thinly sliced
- 1 can of diced tomatoes
- 2 pounds of sirloin steak, cut into strips
- 2 teaspoons of minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons of high-quality Olive Oil
- ⅔ cup of hot water
- 1 cube of beef bouillon
- 3 tablespoons of Soy Sauce
- 1 tablespoon of Cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons of Worcestershire Sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Heat the Olive oil in a skillet. Saute the sirloin steak until it achieves a delightful brown color on each side.
- Dissolve the beef bouillon cube in hot water and pour it into the crockpot. Whisk in the cornstarch until well combined with the bouillon and water mixture.
- Incorporate Worcestershire Sauce, Soy Sauce, and brown sugar into the crockpot. Add the diced tomatoes, salt, and pepper for a burst of flavor.
- Stir in the sautéed beef and sliced onions. Let it simmer on low for 6 to 7 hours or on high for 3 hours, allowing the flavors to meld perfectly.
- An hour before serving, introduce the sliced peppers to the mix. Garnish the final creation with thinly sliced green onions.
