Savory Shrimp Fried Rice Delight
INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 3 beaten eggs
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 3 cups cold cooked white rice
- 1/4 cup frozen peas
- 1/4 cup chopped broccoli
- 1/4 cup sliced carrots
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- *(Feel free to substitute vegetables to your liking)
DIRECTIONS:
- Prepare Shrimp:
- Season shrimp with salt and pepper, then set aside.
- *You may use your preferred seafood seasoning.
- Cook Shrimp:
- Bring a large pan (wok) to medium-high heat and add sesame oil.
- Cook shrimp for 1 minute on each side, then remove from the pan.
- Cook Eggs:
- Add beaten eggs to the pan and use a wooden spatula to cook for a minute or two until fluffy.
- Slide the eggs to the side of the pan.
- Sauté Vegetables:
- Add a small amount of oil to the pan if needed.
- Toss the onion, carrots, and broccoli into the pan and cook for a couple of minutes.
- Combine Ingredients:
- Add the rice, oyster sauce, and soy sauce to the pan.
- Mix in the cooked shrimp and eggs, then add frozen peas while stirring constantly.
- Serve and Enjoy:
- Continue stirring until all ingredients are well combined and heated through.
