Savory Shrimp Fried Rice Delight

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 3 beaten eggs
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 3 cups cold cooked white rice
  • 1/4 cup frozen peas
  • 1/4 cup chopped broccoli
  • 1/4 cup sliced carrots
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tsp oyster sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • *(Feel free to substitute vegetables to your liking)

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Prepare Shrimp:
    • Season shrimp with salt and pepper, then set aside.
    • *You may use your preferred seafood seasoning.
  2. Cook Shrimp:
    • Bring a large pan (wok) to medium-high heat and add sesame oil.
    • Cook shrimp for 1 minute on each side, then remove from the pan.
  3. Cook Eggs:
    • Add beaten eggs to the pan and use a wooden spatula to cook for a minute or two until fluffy.
    • Slide the eggs to the side of the pan.
  4. Sauté Vegetables:
    • Add a small amount of oil to the pan if needed.
    • Toss the onion, carrots, and broccoli into the pan and cook for a couple of minutes.
  5. Combine Ingredients:
    • Add the rice, oyster sauce, and soy sauce to the pan.
    • Mix in the cooked shrimp and eggs, then add frozen peas while stirring constantly.
  6. Serve and Enjoy:
    • Continue stirring until all ingredients are well combined and heated through.
    • Serve this savory shrimp fried rice hot, and enjoy a delightful blend of flavors and textures!
