Ingredients:

  • 500 grams of cassava
  • 300 grams of mozzarella cheese (or any cheese of your choice)
  • 1 ½ tablespoons of butter
  • Fresh parsley, chives, cilantro, or your preferred seasonings (to taste)

Preparation:

  1. Prepare the Cassava:

    Begin by thoroughly washing, peeling, and cooking the cassava until it is tender. Once cooked, place it in a large mixing bowl.

  2. Create the Puree:

    Add the butter to the cassava and mash the mixture well until you achieve a smooth, lump-free puree.

  3. Season the Dough:

    Season the mashed cassava as desired. Add finely chopped parsley, chives, and cilantro, or other preferred seasonings. Mix well until the ingredients are fully incorporated and the mixture becomes a moldable dough.

  4. Form the Dumplings:

    Take small portions of the dough and flatten them in your hands. Place a piece of mozzarella cheese (or your chosen cheese) in the center of each portion, then carefully seal the dough around the cheese to form dumplings.

  5. Fry the Dumplings:

    Heat oil in a frying pan. Once hot, fry the dumplings until they turn golden brown. Make sure to fry them evenly on all sides.

  6. Serve:

    Once fried, place the dumplings on paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve warm, accompanied by homemade mayonnaise or your favorite dipping sauces.
