Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground pork breakfast sausage, at room temperature
  • 2 cups biscuit/baking mix (such as Bisquick)
  • 1 lb sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, thoroughly combine the ground sausage with the biscuit mix. Once well mixed, fold in the shredded cheddar cheese.
  3. Form the Balls: Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on the lined baking sheet, ensuring there is about 1 inch of space between each ball.
  4. Bake: Cook in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the sausage balls are golden brown and the sausage is fully cooked through.
  5. Serve: Allow the sausage balls to cool for about 5 minutes. Serve warm, with dipping sauces if desired.
