Rice Balls Recipe: Transform Leftover Rice into Savory Delights

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 2 cups of cooked rice
  • 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup of wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • Parsley and chives, finely chopped, to taste
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Oil for greasing

Instructions:

  1. Preparing the Rice: Start by cooking the rice as per the package instructions. Once cooked, allow it to cool before proceeding with the recipe.
  2. Blender Preparation: In a blender, combine the cooked rice, Parmesan cheese, eggs, milk, wheat flour, onion, baking powder, garlic, parsley, chives, salt, and pepper. Blend until you achieve a smooth consistency.
  3. Shaping the Balls: With the dough ready, shape it into small dumplings and place them on a baking sheet greased with oil.
  4. Baking: Preheat the oven to 356°F (180°C). Then, bake the dumplings for approximately 30 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
  5. Serving: Once baked, remove the rice balls from the oven and serve them hot.
