Ingredients

  • 1 pound of ground beef
  • 1 (13.8-ounce) can of Pillsbury Refrigerated Pizza Crust
  • 1 package of taco seasoning mix
  • 2 cups of shredded Mexican blend cheese
  • Optional: Butter for brushing
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Preparation

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. In a well-seasoned pan over medium heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Drain the excess fat, stir in the taco seasoning, and let it simmer for a minute or two to blend the flavors.
  3. On a clean surface, roll out the Pillsbury Pizza Dough into a large rectangle. Cut the dough into uniform rectangles.
  4. Sprinkle each rectangle generously with shredded cheese, saving a bit of cheese for later. Spoon the seasoned beef mixture over the cheese.
  5. Fold each dough rectangle over to encase the filling, forming sticks.
  6. Place the sticks on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between them. Brush with butter and sprinkle with salt, if desired. Additional cheese can also be added.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until the dough is golden brown.
  8. Allow the sticks to cool slightly before garnishing with chopped fresh cilantro for extra flavor and color, if desired.
