  • Mandolin slicer
  • Mixing bowl

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 potatoes, washed and peeled
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (divided, 1 tablespoon per batch)
  • 1 tablespoon spice mix (choose from Chipotle, Moroccan, or customize with dried herbs/garlic to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt (optional, if spice mix is unsalted)

Instructions:

For Air Fryer Potato Fries:

  1. Using a mandolin slicer or knife, cut the potatoes into thin slices or wedges.
  2. Soak the potato slices in water for 3-4 hours.
  3. Drain the water and pat the potato sticks dry with paper towels.
  4. Toss the fries with 1 tablespoon of olive oil (reserve seasoning for later).
  5. Preheat the air fryer and place the fries in a single layer in the tray (cook in batches if necessary).
  6. Cook at 200°C for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  2. Preheat the oven to 200°C (fan forced).
  3. Arrange the fries on a baking sheet in a single layer.
