Parmesan Meatloaf Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef mince
  • 1 pound turkey mince
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Italian herbs
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, thoroughly combine the beef mince, turkey mince, Italian herbs, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, eggs, chopped onions, grated Parmesan cheese, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a loaf pan.
  4. Evenly spread the marinara sauce over the top of the meatloaf.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 50 minutes.
  6. After 50 minutes, remove the meatloaf from the oven, sprinkle with the shredded mozzarella cheese, and return to the oven for an additional 10 minutes.
  7. Let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
