Parmesan Crusted Air Fryer Chicken Tenders

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 pounds boneless, skinless chicken tenders
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
  • 3 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 2/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chicken:
    • Trim any excess fat from the chicken tenders.
  2. Set Up Breading Stations:
    • Prepare three separate bowls:
      • First bowl: Combine the flour with approximately 1/4 teaspoon of pepper and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
      • Second bowl: Mix the olive oil or melted butter with the minced garlic.
      • Third bowl: Blend the Panko breadcrumbs with the Parmesan cheese, dried basil, and paprika.
  3. Bread the Chicken:
    • Dredge each chicken tender in the flour mixture, ensuring it is fully coated.
    • Dip the flour-coated chicken into the garlic oil mixture.
    • Finally, coat the chicken tenders thoroughly in the Panko mixture.
  4. Cook in the Air Fryer:
    • Arrange the breaded chicken tenders in the basket of your air fryer.
    • Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 9 minutes.
    • Flip the tenders and cook for an additional 8-9 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. Serve:
    • Remove the chicken tenders from the air fryer and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce. Enjoy!
