Old Fashioned Pancakes

Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon of white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 3 tablespoons of melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/4 cups of milk
  • Cooking spray

Preparation

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
  2. Whisk in the milk, egg, and melted butter until well blended. Let the batter rest for 5 minutes.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and coat it with cooking spray.
  4. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter per pancake into the skillet. Cook until bubbles form on the edges and center, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Flip the pancakes and cook for another 1-2 minutes, until golden brown.
