Long John Silver’s Batter Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups club soda
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp baking powder
- 1 ½ to 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 4 tbsp cornstarch
Instructions
Step 1:
Heat oil in a skillet.
Step 2:
In a mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients: salt, baking powder, flour, cornstarch, and baking soda.
Step 3:
Gradually stir in the club soda. Be careful not to overmix to preserve the bubbles.
Step 4:
Coat the fish in the batter and fry immediately.
