Ingredients:

  • 4 10-oz Lobster tails
  • 1/4 cup Salted butter (melted; 1/2 stick)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (crushed)
  • 2 tsp Lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp Smoked paprika
  • 1 pinch Cayenne pepper

Instructions:

  1. If your lobster tails are frozen, ensure to thaw them overnight in the fridge or submerge them in a bag of cold water on the counter for approximately 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat your oven to Broil (500 degrees F or 260 degrees C), positioning the oven rack to place the lobster tails on a baking sheet 4 to 5 inches away from the broiler.
  3. Begin by butterfly-cutting the lobster tails. Using kitchen shears, carefully cut down the center of the shell lengthwise, starting from the end opposite the tail fins. Ensure to stop just before reaching the tail, leaving it intact. Gently spread open the top shell and pull the lobster meat upward, separating it from the bottom shell while keeping the end attached to the tail fin. Place the butterflied lobster tails on the baking sheet.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, crushed garlic, lemon juice, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. Brush this flavorful butter mixture generously over the exposed lobster meat.
  5. Broil the lobster tails until the meat turns opaque and develops a light golden brown hue, approximately 1 minute per ounce of individual tail. For instance, broil 10-ounce lobster tails for about 10 minutes or 5-ounce tails for around 5 minutes.
