Lime Mousse Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (about 4-5 limes)
  • Zest of 2 limes
  • 1 tablespoon gelatin powder
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • Optional: additional lime zest for garnish

Preparation

1. Prepare the Gelatin:

  1. In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin powder over the cold water.
  2. Let it sit for about 5 minutes to bloom.
  3. Microwave the bloomed gelatin for about 10-15 seconds until completely dissolved.

2. Blend the Ingredients:

  1. In a blender, combine the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, freshly squeezed lime juice, lime zest, and the dissolved gelatin.
  2. Blend until smooth and well combined.

3. Chill the Mousse:

  1. Pour the mixture into serving glasses or a large bowl.
  2. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set and firm.

4. Serve:

  1. Before serving, garnish with additional lime zest if desired.
  2. Enjoy your refreshing Lime Mousse!
