Presenting a twist on traditional Italian cuisine, these Italian Drunken Noodles offer a delightful departure from classics like lasagna and spaghetti. Hailing from Italy, this dish has garnered popularity for its simplicity and rich flavors. Crafted with pasta, tomatoes, garlic, and herbs, it’s a breeze to whip up any night of the week or for any occasion.

Ingredients:

  • 12oz Egg Noodles, cooked to preference
  • 1lb Ground Italian sausage
  • 2 Bell peppers, diced
  • 3 tsp Minced garlic
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ cup White cooking wine
  • 28oz Can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 tbsp Dried basil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a large saucepan or skillet with deep sides, cook the ground sausage and bell peppers over medium-high heat until the meat is thoroughly browned and the peppers have softened.
  2. Reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic and Italian seasoning, sautéing for an additional 30 seconds.
  3. Pour in the white cooking wine, allowing it to simmer until the liquid reduces by half.
  4. Add the diced tomatoes, dried basil, salt, and pepper to the pot, stirring to combine thoroughly.
  5. Incorporate the cooked noodles into the mixture, continuing to sauté until heated through.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and freshly chopped parsley for a touch of freshness.
