Indulgent Hot Fudge Brownie Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup hot fudge sauce

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla.
  4. Gradually incorporate the flour mixture and buttermilk into the butter mixture, starting and ending with the flour mixture.
  5. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Spoon half of the hot fudge sauce over the batter, then swirl it with a knife. Repeat this layering process with the remaining batter and hot fudge sauce.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
