Honey Garlic Crawfish Fries

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb crawfish tails
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 12-ounce can evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 cup shredded Muenster cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 30-32 oz frozen fries of choice
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

Crawfish:

  1. In a pan, melt butter and add crawfish tails.
  2. Cook until the crawfish tails are heated through.

Queso/Cheese sauce:

  1. In the same pan as the crawfish, pour in evaporated milk and heavy cream. Bring to a low simmer without boiling.
  2. Sprinkle in Cajun seasoning and onion powder.
  3. Add the shredded Muenster, Monterey Jack, and Mozzarella cheeses. Stir constantly until the cheese melts, and the sauce coats the spoon. Turn off the heat after 4 minutes of simmering.
  4. The sauce will thicken as it stands.

Assembly:

  1. Prepare the fries according to package instructions.
  2. Top the fries with the cooked crawfish, cheese sauce, and fresh parsley.
