Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour, with extra for dusting
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 3/4 cup of water
  • 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves of garlic, finely minced
  • Freshly chopped parsley for garnish
  • Additional salt to taste

Preparation:

  1. Start by combining the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  2. Gradually incorporate water into the mixture until it forms a soft dough.
  3. Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth. Allow it to rest for 15 minutes.
  4. Divide the dough into four equal parts and roll each into thin rounds, approximately 1/8 inch thick.
  5. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Cook each flatbread for 1-2 minutes on one side until bubbles form, then flip and cook the other side for an additional minute. Stack the cooked flatbreads and keep them warm by wrapping them in a clean towel.
  6. In the same skillet, melt the butter and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant. Generously brush the garlic butter over each flatbread.
  7. Sprinkle chopped parsley and a pinch of salt over the flatbreads before serving.
