Grilled Steak Fajitas Recipe

Ingredients:
- 2 pounds of skirt, flank, sirloin, or hanger steak, sliced into ½-inch strips
- 1 red pepper, deseeded and thinly sliced
- 1 green or yellow pepper, deseeded and thinly sliced
- 1 medium onion, peeled and thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- Pinch of cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 6-8 tortillas, warmed
Instructions:
Step 1: Marinating the Ingredients
- Place the steak in a sealable bag and the peppers with onions in a separate bag.
- In a jar, combine olive oil, lime juice, chili powder, ground cumin, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, and minced garlic. Shake well.
- Pour ⅓ of the marinade over the steak, ⅓ over the vegetables, and reserve the remaining marinade. Seal bags and refrigerate for one hour to overnight.
Step 2: Cooking
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook the vegetables until tender-crisp (about 5 minutes) and set them aside on a plate.
- Cook steak strips in the same skillet until done (about 7-10 minutes).
- Add the reserved marinade and the cooked vegetables back to the skillet.
Step 3: Serving
- Serve the steak fajitas with warm tortillas.
- Add optional garnishes according to your preference.
