Grandma’s Homemade Cake 🍰
Ingredients:
- 3 large or 4 medium eggs
- 1 lemon-flavored yogurt
- Sugar (2 measures of yogurt)
- Flour (3 measures of yogurt)
- Sunflower oil or olive oil (1 measure of yogurt)
- 1 sachet of baking powder (16g)
- Lemon zest
- Butter and flour (for greasing the mold)
- Icing sugar for decoration (optional)
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 150°C (300°F).
- In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs. Add sugar, yogurt, sunflower oil, and lemon zest (avoiding the white part to prevent bitterness).
- In another bowl, combine flour with baking powder. Add this mixture to the egg mixture and beat until smooth.
- Grease a cake mold with butter, sprinkle with flour, and remove excess flour by shaking the mold.
- Pour the batter into the prepared mold. For optimal rising, let the batter rest for 15 minutes before baking.
- Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean (baking time varies depending on the oven).
- Remove from the oven and let it cool. Use a knife to loosen the edges of the cake and unmold it.
- Optionally, dust the cake with icing sugar for decoration. Enjoy your homemade delight!
