Garlic Shrimp Pasta
Ingredients:
- 1 lb medium shrimp, deveined and tails removed
- 1 lb spaghetti noodles (adjust based on family size)
- 6-8 garlic cloves, minced (according to personal taste)
- 1/4 cup butter
- Olive oil (3 drizzles)
- Italian seasoning
- Fresh ground pepper
- Red pepper flakes
- Salt
- Herbs (according to taste)
Directions:
- Boil the spaghetti noodles until tender, remembering to save 1 cup of pasta water for later use. Enhance the pasta water with a dash of oil, salt, and fresh herbs for added flavor. Drain and set aside.
- While the pasta is boiling, wash the shrimp thoroughly.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the shrimp to the skillet.
- Cook the shrimp until they turn slightly pink and start to curl. Then, incorporate the minced garlic.
- Continue cooking for 5-7 minutes, then drizzle olive oil. Stir consistently until the shrimp are fully pink and curled.
- Combine the boiled pasta with the shrimp in the skillet. Add the desired seasonings and incorporate just enough saved pasta water to achieve a moist but not overly liquid consistency. Start by adding 1/4 of the cup and adjust as needed.
- Toss all the ingredients in the skillet until well incorporated and heated throughout.
