Fall-Off-The-Bone Ribs Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 rack of pork baby back ribs
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup dry rub (either your own or following the provided recipe)
  • 1/2 cup barbeque sauce (either your own or following the provided recipe)

Instructions:

  1. Preparation:
    • Preheat your oven to 300°F.
    • Trim excess fat from the ribs. Remove the silver skin from the back by using a sharp knife to lift and a paper towel to grip and remove.
    • Cut the ribs into individual pieces.
  2. Marination:
    • Rub the ribs all over with lemon juice.
    • Coat the ribs evenly with the dry rub.
  3. Cooking:
    • Place the ribs meat side down in a large baking pan. Cover the pan tightly with foil, ensuring the shiny side faces out.
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 2 1/2 hours.
  4. Final Touch:
    • Remove the ribs from the oven and pour off any excess liquid.
    • Brush barbecue sauce over all sides of the ribs.
  5. Finishing:
    • Grill Method: Transfer the ribs from the baking pan to the grill (using a basket over direct but low heat). Baste and turn them a few times, grilling for about 10 minutes.
    • Oven Method: Set the oven to broil. Return the ribs to the middle oven rack, uncovered, and broil for about 5 minutes per side, basting as needed. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning. If the foil starts to burn, transfer the ribs to a clean sheet before broiling.
