Fall-Off-The-Bone Ribs Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 rack of pork baby back ribs
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1/4 cup dry rub (either your own or following the provided recipe)
- 1/2 cup barbeque sauce (either your own or following the provided recipe)
Instructions:
- Preparation:
- Preheat your oven to 300°F.
- Trim excess fat from the ribs. Remove the silver skin from the back by using a sharp knife to lift and a paper towel to grip and remove.
- Cut the ribs into individual pieces.
- Marination:
- Rub the ribs all over with lemon juice.
- Coat the ribs evenly with the dry rub.
- Cooking:
- Place the ribs meat side down in a large baking pan. Cover the pan tightly with foil, ensuring the shiny side faces out.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 2 1/2 hours.
- Final Touch:
- Remove the ribs from the oven and pour off any excess liquid.
- Brush barbecue sauce over all sides of the ribs.
- Finishing:
- Grill Method: Transfer the ribs from the baking pan to the grill (using a basket over direct but low heat). Baste and turn them a few times, grilling for about 10 minutes.
- Oven Method: Set the oven to broil. Return the ribs to the middle oven rack, uncovered, and broil for about 5 minutes per side, basting as needed. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning. If the foil starts to burn, transfer the ribs to a clean sheet before broiling.
