Deluxe Patty Melts with Signature Sauce
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. Ground beef
- 6 Slices of rye bread
- ½ tsp. Onion powder
- ½ tsp. Garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 6 Slices of cheddar cheese
- 6 Slices of provolone cheese
- 6 tbsp. Unsalted butter, softened
For the Signature Sauce:
- ¼ cup Mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp. Chopped bacon pieces
- 3 tbsp. Ketchup
- 1 tsp. Sugar
- 1 tsp. Relish
Instructions:
- Shape the ground beef into 3 flattened patties, ensuring they match the size of the bread slices.
- Season the patties on both sides with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Cook the patties on medium-high heat until fully cooked. Remove them from the pan.
- Meanwhile, combine the ingredients for the signature sauce until well mixed.
- Wipe the skillet used for cooking the patties and reduce the heat to medium.
- Spread butter on one side of each bread slice generously.
- Place three bread slices, buttered side down, in the skillet.
- Top each bread slice with 2 slices of provolone cheese, a cooked patty, and 2 slices of cheddar cheese.
- Spread a small amount of signature sauce on the non-buttered side of the remaining bread slices and place them sauce side down on top of the assembled patties in the skillet.
- Flip the patty melts over once the provolone cheese has melted and the bottom of the bread is toasted.
- Toast the other side of the bread until golden brown.
- Serve hot and enjoy the flavorful deluxe patty melts with signature sauce.
