Delicious Jerk Cajun Chicken with Sausage and Penne-Rotini Blend
Ingredients:
- Penne/Rotini noodles
- Turkey Sausage
- Chicken tenderloins
- Bell peppers
- Onions
- Jerk Seasoning
- Goya total seasoning
- Garlic and herb
- Paprika
- Slap Ya Mama seasoning
- Shredded cheese
- Heavy cream
Directions:
- Begin by cutting the chicken into bite-sized pieces. Season generously with jerk seasoning, Goya total seasoning, garlic and herb, and paprika. Marinate overnight if possible, or proceed directly to cooking.
- Cook the turkey sausages either in an air fryer or on the stove until they are browned and cooked through.
- In a pan, combine the seasoned chicken, chopped bell peppers, and onions with a splash of water. Stir well to ensure the seasoning coats everything evenly. Cover the pan and cook until the chicken is tender, approximately 10-15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, bring a pot of water to a boil, adding a dash of olive oil. Cook the penne or rotini noodles until they reach the desired tenderness. Drain and toss with a little olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Prepare the sauce by heating heavy cream in a separate pot. Once warmed through, add bell peppers and Slap Ya Mama seasoning. Allow the mixture to come to a gentle boil over medium heat before adding shredded cheese. Stir continuously until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth, about 5 minutes.
- Combine the cooked chicken (along with any flavorful juices from the pan) and sliced sausages with the cooked pasta. Pour the cheese sauce over the mixture and toss until everything is evenly coated.
