Delicious Italian Chicken Pasta Recipe
Ingredients:
- 5 boneless, skinless chicken breast cutlets
- 12 oz. spaghetti noodles
- ½ cup flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- ¼ tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 2 tbsp. oil
For the sauce:
- 4 tbsp. butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 tsp. minced garlic
- 2 small tomatoes, diced
- 1 tbsp. flour
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp. salt
- ¼ tsp. red pepper flakes
Instructions:
- Cook Spaghetti: Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
- Prepare Chicken: In a Ziploc bag, combine ½ cup flour, 1 tsp. salt, ¼ tsp. pepper, 1 tsp. garlic powder, and 2 tsp. Italian seasoning. Shake to combine. Add the chicken to the bag and shake to coat evenly.
- Cook Chicken: Heat 2 tbsp. oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the coated chicken and sauté until browned on each side and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Make Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add 4 tbsp. butter. Sauté chopped onions until softened. Add minced garlic and diced tomatoes, sauté for 30 seconds. Sprinkle in 1 tbsp. flour and stir to combine. Add red pepper flakes and Italian seasoning. Whisk in heavy whipping cream and Parmesan cheese until the sauce thickens.
- Combine Ingredients: Stir the cooked spaghetti into the sauce until well coated. Add the cooked chicken back into the skillet.
- Serve: Garnish with additional Parmesan cheese and fresh herbs if desired. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious Italian chicken pasta!
