Delicious Double Chocolate Coca Cola Cake

Delicious Double Chocolate Coca Cola Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Coca Cola
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 stick butter
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Frosting:

  • 1 stick butter
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa
  • 6 tablespoons cream or milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 3/4 cups confectioner’s sugar

Instructions:

  1. In a saucepan, combine Coca Cola, oil, butter, and cocoa. Bring to a boil.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix sugar, flour, and salt.
  3. Pour the boiling Coca Cola mixture over the flour mixture and beat well.
  4. Add eggs, buttermilk, baking soda, and vanilla. Beat until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased and floured 13 x 9 inch baking pan.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 to 25 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool for about 10 minutes before frosting.

Frosting:

  1. In a saucepan, combine butter, cocoa, and milk. Heat until butter melts.
  2. Beat in vanilla extract and confectioner’s sugar until smooth.
  3. Spread frosting over the warm cake. Enjoy!
