Delicate Sweet Bread
Ingredients:
- 325g (2 5 ⁄8 cups) all-purpose flour
- 120 ml (1 ⁄2 cup) warm milk
- 30g (2 tablespoons) sugar
- 2g (1 teaspoon) salt
- 7g dry yeast
- 1 egg
- 25g (2 tablespoons) unsalted butter
Instructions:
- In a bowl, whisk together hot milk, sugar, eggs, and yeast.
- Combine salt with flour and incorporate it into the liquid mixture.
- Knead the dough until it becomes smooth, then let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Gradually knead in the soft butter into the dough.
- Allow the dough to rest for an additional 30 minutes, then cut it into pieces and roll each one.
- Shape the dough into cylinders and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Let it rest for an hour, then brush with an egg wash before baking.
- Bake at 160C/320F for 20 minutes.
