Decadent Chocolate and Banana Cake 🍫🍌

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 cup of hot water
  • 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder
  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 10g of baking powder
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 250ml of heavy cream
  • 120g of milk chocolate, chopped
  • Pistachios for garnish

Preparation:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs with the granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in the vegetable oil, milk, hot water, cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, and baking powder until well combined. Grease the bottom of a cake mold with butter and arrange sliced bananas evenly. Pour the batter over the bananas.
  2. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  3. While the cake is baking, prepare the ganache by heating the heavy cream until it just begins to boil. Pour the hot cream over the chopped milk chocolate and let it sit for a minute. Stir until smooth and glossy.
  4. Once the cake is baked and cooled slightly, pour the prepared ganache over the top, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle with chopped pistachios for added crunch and flavor.
