Crispy Honey Garlic Chicken
Ingredients:
- 10 chicken wings
- 125 grams all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons seasoning salt
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 2 cups vegetable oil (for frying)
For the Lemon Pepper Honey:
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons lemon pepper seasoning
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
Preparation:
- Heat vegetable oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat for frying.
- In a bowl, mix together flour, seasoning salt, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper.
- Generously coat chicken wings with the seasoning mixture, then dredge them in flour until evenly coated.
- Carefully place the chicken wings in the heated oil, avoiding overcrowding.
- While the wings fry, prepare the sauce by combining honey, lemon pepper seasoning, and fresh lemon juice in a small saucepan. Bring to a mild boil, then remove from heat.
- Fry the wings for 6 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the wings from the oil and drain on a rack or paper towels to remove excess oil.
- Allow the wings to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Drizzle warm honey lemon pepper sauce over the chicken wings.
