Crack Maple Bacon Recipe

Turn raw bacon strips into an addictive like ‘crack’ treat with just 4 ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of bacon
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1/4 cup of dark syrup
  • 1/2 cup of mixed brown sugar

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Place a rack over a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil and arrange the bacon strips on the rack. Bake for approximately 20 minutes or until the bacon turns crispy. Set aside to cool once done.
  2. Meanwhile, prevent the puff pastry from rising excessively during baking by rolling it out and pricking it all over with a fork. Drizzle half of the maple syrup over the pastry and sprinkle half of the brown sugar on top.
  3. Crumble the cooled bacon into small pieces and scatter them evenly over the pastry. Drizzle the remaining maple syrup over the bacon and sprinkle the remaining brown sugar on top.
  4. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until the top turns golden brown. Allow it to cool slightly before using a pizza cutter to slice it into bite-sized triangles.
