Classic Macaroni and Cheese Delight
Ingredients:
- 3 cups of dry elbow macaroni
- 4 tablespoons of salted butter
- 2 cans (370 mL/12 oz each) of evaporated milk
- 1/3 cup of preferred milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 teaspoon of garlic salt
- 4 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
Directions:
- Boil a generous pot of water, add salt and macaroni, cooking until al dente. Drain and return to the pot. Stir in butter until melted; set aside.
- In a large bowl, thoroughly mix evaporated milk, preferred milk, eggs, and garlic salt.
- In a separate bowl, combine the shredded cheeses.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and lightly spray a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Layer 1/3 of the macaroni, followed by 1/3 of the cheese. Repeat with the remaining macaroni and cheese mixture.
- Pour the milk mixture over the layers and evenly sprinkle paprika on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes.
