Classic Macaroni and Cheese Delight

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups of dry elbow macaroni
  • 4 tablespoons of salted butter
  • 2 cans (370 mL/12 oz each) of evaporated milk
  • 1/3 cup of preferred milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon of garlic salt
  • 4 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika

Directions:

  1. Boil a generous pot of water, add salt and macaroni, cooking until al dente. Drain and return to the pot. Stir in butter until melted; set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, thoroughly mix evaporated milk, preferred milk, eggs, and garlic salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the shredded cheeses.
  4. Preheat the oven to 375°F and lightly spray a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  5. Layer 1/3 of the macaroni, followed by 1/3 of the cheese. Repeat with the remaining macaroni and cheese mixture.
  6. Pour the milk mixture over the layers and evenly sprinkle paprika on top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes.
