Classic Homemade Spaghetti
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon of Olive Oil
- 1 pound of lean ground beef
- ½ yellow onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon of Italian Seasoning
- 2 teaspoons of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- ½ teaspoon of pepper
- 1 tablespoon of freshly minced garlic
- 3 cups of water
- 1 jar of Spaghetti Sauce
- 1 can of diced tomatoes (optional)
- 16 ounces of spaghetti noodles
Instructions:
- Prepare the Air Pot: Start by setting the Air Pot to Saute mode. Once it’s ready, add the olive oil and chopped onion. Saute until the onions are softened.
- Cook the Meat: Add the ground beef to the Air Pot along with the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and minced garlic. Cook until the meat is browned and cooked through.
- Add Water and Noodles: Remove the cooked meat from the Air Pot and add water, making sure to scrape the bottom well to prevent any burn warnings. Break the spaghetti noodles in half and place them in a criss-cross pattern in the Air Pot.
- Layering: Pour the spaghetti sauce over the noodles, followed by the diced tomatoes (if using). Add water by pouring it over the sides and on top of the tomatoes. Gently push down on the spaghetti to ensure it’s submerged in the water.
- Pressure Cook: Secure the lid on the Air Pot, making sure the valve is set to sealing. Press the Pressure Cook button and set the timer for 5 minutes.
- Natural Release: Once the cooking time is up, allow the pressure to naturally release for 5 minutes. Then, carefully perform a quick release until the pin drops.
- Final Touch: Open the lid and give the spaghetti, sauce, and tomatoes a good stir to combine everything evenly.
- Serve: Dish out the homemade spaghetti and enjoy it with a side of dinner salad and garlic cheese toast if desired.
This classic homemade spaghetti recipe is sure to satisfy your cravings with its flavorful meat sauce and perfectly cooked noodles. Enjoy!
