Savory Delight: Cheesy Onion Crisps

In my perpetual quest for effortless yet satisfying snacks, the concept of Cheesy Onion Crisps immediately captivated me. With just a few simple ingredients, these crisps come together in under 15 minutes—a culinary marvel indeed. Ideal for a swift savory fix, they also offer ample room for personalization. Our preference was to pair them with marinara sauce, yielding delectable results!

Ingredients:

  • 3 large sweet onions
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 teaspoons ranch seasoning
  • Ranch dressing or marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Grease the parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. Thinly slice the onions into rounds, ensuring to discard the outer skin. Aim for approximately 16 rounds per onion.
  3. Divide the shredded cheddar cheese into 8 piles on each baking sheet.
  4. Place an onion round atop each cheese pile, then sprinkle with ranch seasoning.
  5. Bake for 11-13 minutes, keeping a close eye on them as cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the onion slices.
  6. Allow the crisps to cool for 5-7 minutes before carefully removing them from the baking sheet.
  7. Serve alongside marinara sauce or ranch dressing for dipping.
