Candied Bacon Crackers
Ingredients:
- 1 package of rectangular butter crackers
- 8-10 slices of bacon
- 3/4 cup of brown sugar
- A pinch of cayenne pepper
- A pinch of freshly ground black pepper
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Place a wire rack on top.
- Arrange the crackers on the wire rack, ensuring there is some space between each cracker.
- Cut the bacon slices into thirds or fourths, depending on what size fits the crackers best. Place a piece of bacon lengthwise on each cracker.
- Sprinkle about one heaping teaspoon of brown sugar on top of each slice of bacon. Add a pinch of cayenne pepper and freshly ground black pepper to each.
- Bake in the preheated oven until the brown sugar begins to melt and the bacon becomes crisp, about 15-20 minutes.
- Allow the crackers to cool and harden before serving. Enjoy your candied bacon crackers!
