Cajun Shrimp Scampi
Ingredients:
- 12 raw shrimps (adjust quantity according to preference)
- 1 serving of linguine pasta
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Shredded parmesan cheese
- 1/8 teaspoon basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Flour (for thickening)
- Cajun seasoning
- 1/4 cup parsley
- White wine
- Olive oil
Directions:
- Heat a saucepan over medium-high heat. Add butter, a drizzle of olive oil, and a dash of white wine, bringing it to a boil.
- Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Introduce the shrimps to the pan.
- Generously season the shrimps with Cajun seasoning to your liking.
- Once the shrimps turn pink on one side, flip them and cook for another minute. Remove the shrimps from the pan, leaving the liquid.
- Add heavy cream, basil, parsley, salt, and pepper to the pan.
- Bring the mixture to a boil and gradually whisk in sprinkles of flour until the sauce thickens.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low and reintroduce the shrimp to the pan.
- Toss the shrimp to coat them with the sauce and serve over cooked linguine. Top with parmesan cheese.
