  • 1 tsp cooking oil
  • 1/2 small lemon
  • 2-3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1/2-1 tbsp hot sauce (adjust based on spice preference)
  • 1 tbsp sweet relish
  • 1-2 tsp Old Bay seasoning + 2 tsp (for Cajun shrimp)
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp fresh chopped dill + 2 tsp (for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Perfect Boiled Eggs

  1. Place the eggs gently in a shallow pot.
  2. Fill the pot with water, ensuring the eggs are fully submerged.
  3. Bring the water to a boil, then turn off the heat and cover the pot for 15-20 minutes.

Cajun Egg Filling

  1. Peel the eggs and slice them in half.
  2. Carefully remove the yolks and place them in a medium-sized bowl. Lay the egg whites on paper towels to dry.
  3. Add mayonnaise to the bowl with the yolks. Incorporate the remaining ingredients (hot sauce, sweet relish, Old Bay seasoning, and garlic powder) one at a time, tasting and adjusting the flavor as desired.
  4. Mix until the yolk mixture is smooth and creamy. Cover and set aside.

Cajun Shrimp

  1. Heat a medium-sized pan over medium-high heat and add the cooking oil.
  2. Pat the shrimp dry with a paper towel. Coat the shrimp evenly with Old Bay seasoning.
  3. Sauté the shrimp until cooked through or slightly charred. Halfway through cooking, add about 1 tsp of lemon juice to the shrimp.

Plating Cajun Shrimp Deviled Eggs

  2. Top each egg half with one Cajun shrimp.
