Baked Tangerine Chicken
Ingredients:
- Chicken pieces
- 300ml mandarin juice
- 1 onion
- 1 tablespoon dehydrated garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
- Ground black pepper
- Chicken broth or Avecrem bouillon cube
- Olive oil
- Salt
Preparation:
- Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, mix the finely chopped onion, mandarin juice, oregano, sweet paprika, and garlic powder. Pour this mixture over the chicken pieces, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover with plastic wrap and marinate in the refrigerator overnight for best results.
- Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).
- Lightly brush the bottom of a baking dish with olive oil and arrange the drained chicken pieces in the dish. Place it in the oven.
- In a saucepan, pour the marinade juices and add half a glass of chicken broth. Cook over medium heat until the mixture is reduced by half.
- Pour the reduced marinade over the chicken and continue baking for about an hour. Occasionally brush the chicken with the juices from the pan to keep it moist.
- For the final touch, switch your oven to the grill setting and brown the chicken to your liking.
- Serve the baked tangerine chicken with white rice or French fries and a fresh salad.
