Preparation Steps:
- Place the ham, adorned with cloves, in a large casserole dish. Cover it with a mixture of water and beer. Introduce molasses, chopped onions, bay leaf, and season with salt and pepper.
- Bring the concoction to a boil, then gracefully reduce the heat, allowing the ham to simmer for a leisurely 2 hours.
- In a separate bowl, blend breadcrumbs and brown sugar. Add a touch of water and stir the resulting paste thoroughly.
- Preheat the oven to 200°C. Transfer the ham to a baking dish and generously coat it with the brown sugar batter. Bake for 30 minutes until the ham achieves a glorious golden hue.
- In a skillet, melt butter. Saute the pineapple slices until golden, then pour in pineapple juice and the ham cooking sauce. Let it simmer until a luscious coating sauce is formed. Season with salt and pepper.
- Place the caramelized pineapple slices and their juices atop the ham, slice, and serve. Indulge in the culinary delight!
