Alabama Fire Crackers
Ingredients:
- 2 cups olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 (1 oz) packages ranch dressing mix
- 3 tablespoons crushed red pepper
- 1 (16 oz) package of saltine crackers
Preparation:
- In a gallon zip-top bag, combine olive oil, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, ranch dressing mix, and crushed red pepper flakes. Seal the bag and knead or shake to thoroughly mix the ingredients.
- Add all the saltine crackers to the bag, seal it, and gently turn the bag over until the crackers are evenly coated with the seasoning.
- Allow the mixture to sit in the bag overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 250°F and spread the crackers on a baking sheet. Bake for approximately 15 minutes or until the crackers turn golden brown and absorb the oil.
