Chicken Patties Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper (any color)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 tablespoon dried parsley)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (for frying)
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, finely chopped onion, finely chopped bell pepper, minced garlic, beaten egg, fresh or dried parsley, salt, black pepper, paprika, and dried oregano. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Divide the mixture into 6-8 equal portions. Shape each portion into a patty approximately 1/2 inch thick.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Place the chicken patties in the skillet and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and fully cooked through. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove the patties from the skillet and place them on paper towels to drain any excess oil if necessary. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce, or assemble them into sandwiches with buns, lettuce, tomatoes, and condiments of your choice.
