Grandma’s Ground Beef Casserole Recipe

Tonight, we indulged in a delightful joint cooking session, resulting in a dinner so irresistible, we found ourselves unable to resist going back for seconds! Although, I must confess, my husband seemed to have a larger appetite, claiming more than his fair share of the meal.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 pounds of ground beef
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed cream of cheddar cheese soup
  • 3 cups frozen potato cubes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9×13 casserole dish.
  2. Brown the ground beef thoroughly, then drain any excess fat and transfer it to a large mixing bowl.
  3. Mix in both condensed soups with the ground beef until well combined.
  4. Add the frozen potato cubes, half of the shredded cheddar cheese, and seasonings to the mixture, ensuring even distribution.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared casserole dish and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top, covering it securely with foil.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Relish in the nostalgia and warmth of Grandma’s Ground Beef Casserole, a dish that embodies the essence of family, love, and cherished culinary traditions. Bon appétit!

Savor every bite!
