Professional Recipe: Bread with Milk and Butter

Ingredients:

  • 400 ml warm milk
  • 20 grams sugar (1 tablespoon)
  • 10 grams dry yeast (1 tablespoon)
  • 80 grams butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 850 grams tender wheat flour
  • 1 large teaspoon salt

Preparation:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, dry yeast, melted butter, and eggs. Mix thoroughly.
  2. Gradually add soft wheat flour, followed by salt, and continue mixing until well combined.
  3. Knead the dough until it is soft and smooth. Cover the bowl and let the dough rest for about 1 hour or until it doubles in volume.
  4. Gently punch down the dough to release any air bubbles.
  5. Divide the dough into 27-30 equal portions and shape each portion into balls. Then, stretch and roll each ball into desired shapes.
  6. Place the shaped dough in a greased baking mold, cover it, and let it rise again until doubled in volume.
  7. In a small bowl, mix egg yolk with 1 teaspoon of milk. Brush this mixture over the risen dough.
  8. Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F) and bake the bread for approximately 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool before slicing and serving.
