Ingredients:

  • 2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring

Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. In a bowl, combine chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Mix in sour cream, buttermilk, vanilla extract, flour, cocoa powder, and red food coloring until well combined.
  5. Pour the batter over the crust and smooth the top. Bake for 55-60 minutes or until the center is set.
  6. Allow the cheesecake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then run a knife around the edge to loosen. Let it cool completely before removing from the pan.

Cream Cheese Frosting:

  1. In a bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until creamy. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, beating until smooth.
  2. Once the cheesecake is cooled, spread the cream cheese frosting over the top.
