Delicate Sweet Bread

Ingredients:

  • 325g (2 5 ⁄8 cups) all-purpose flour
  • 120 ml (1 ⁄2 cup) warm milk
  • 30g (2 tablespoons) sugar
  • 2g (1 teaspoon) salt
  • 7g dry yeast
  • 1 egg
  • 25g (2 tablespoons) unsalted butter

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, whisk together hot milk, sugar, eggs, and yeast.
  2. Combine salt with flour and incorporate it into the liquid mixture.
  3. Knead the dough until it becomes smooth, then let it rest for 10 minutes.
  4. Gradually knead in the soft butter into the dough.
  5. Allow the dough to rest for an additional 30 minutes, then cut it into pieces and roll each one.
  6. Shape the dough into cylinders and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Let it rest for an hour, then brush with an egg wash before baking.
  8. Bake at 160C/320F for 20 minutes.
